Common questions
I put in a wrong digit and it did not appear. Is that a bug?
No — that is deliberate. A wrong digit costs you a light and the square
stays empty. Letting you build on a mistake would waste your time and
then blame you for it.
Do any puzzles need guessing?
Never. Every puzzle has exactly one answer and can be reached by
reasoning alone. They are checked before they ship.
What decides how hard a board is?
Which techniques it forces you onto — hidden singles, naked pairs,
pointing pairs, box-line reduction, X-wings — not how many squares are
blank. A board with fewer givens is not automatically harder.
What are the wardens?
Every third board is guarded, and the warden takes one thing away:
pencil marks, time, an extra light per mistake, or six givens hidden
behind a veil. The rare items in the workshop exist to take those back.
Where did my run go?
Runs are not saved between launches — a run is meant to be one sitting.
Your totals and best score are kept.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No, and there never will be. You paid once; everything in the game is
reached by playing.
Does it need the internet?
No. Orrery is completely offline and makes no network connections at
all.
